MEET QUARKA little creature that lives on your machine
Quark reads your disk's health and shows it — cheerful when there's room, sweating when it fills up, celebrating the moment you reclaim space. Pick a state and watch it change.
→ Disk is healthy — plenty of room.

THE TWO VIEWS
Space you can actually see
Most cleaners give you a progress bar and a number. We give you the whole map — two ways, because different minds read space differently.
SunburstImmersive, drill-down rings
Concentric rings map your whole volume; click a segment to dive into a folder and the chart re-centres on it. The DaisyDisk treatment — matched, and honest about block sizes.
Bubble clusterPlayful, tap-to-pop
Every big file and folder is a bubble sized to what it really occupies. Scan it, spot the whales, and pop what you don't need. The CleanMyMac feel without the nagging.

WHAT IT RECLAIMS
Everything a cleaner should do, and nothing it shouldn't
Real app uninstall
Dragging an app to the Trash leaves 150–500 MB behind in Application Support, Caches, Containers, Preferences and LaunchAgents. We find every leftover by bundle ID and remove them in one tap.
One-click maintenance
Scans the safe-to-clean caches, logs and dev artifacts and clears them — with a little confetti and a chime when it lands. No guesswork about what is safe to touch.
Docker cleanup
If Docker is installed we surface unused images, stopped containers, build cache and dangling volumes — and prune exactly what you pick. Reclaim tens of GB developers never see.
Block-accurate sizes
We measure block allocation, not logical file size — on APFS, NTFS and ext4 alike. iCloud/OneDrive dataless files, compressed system files and sparse Docker .raw images do not inflate what we report. The numbers are honest.
Malware scan
A YARA engine with versioned rule bundles, alongside XProtect and Gatekeeper heuristics — flag suspicious binaries before they settle in.
Safe by default
Move-to-Trash everywhere. Protected system paths are refused outright. Permanent delete is a separate, gated flow you have to opt into — never the default.

HONEST NUMBERS
We measure blocks, not bytes
Logical file size lies — on APFS, NTFS and ext4. Dataless cloud files claim space they don't hold; compressed system files hold less than they claim; a sparse Docker .raw can report 64 GB and occupy 9. We read actual block allocation, so the number you see is the space you'll get back.
DaisyDisk gets this right. CleanMyMac doesn't. It's the difference between "freed 40 GB" and freeing 40 GB.
Docker.raw — reported vs actual
Reported (logical)64 GB
Actual (blocks)9.2 GB
→ real reclaimable: 9.2 GB, not 64

SAFE BY DESIGN
A cleaner you can trust with your disk
Deleting the wrong thing is unforgivable in a cleaner. So the defaults are conservative, the dangerous actions are gated, and the app itself is hardened.
Move to Trash, always
Nothing is destroyed by default — everything routes through the Trash so you can undo.
Protected paths refused
System locations the OS depends on are refused outright, not merely discouraged.
Gated permanent delete
Bypassing the Trash is a separate, explicit flow — never a default, never a surprise.
Hardened Electron
Context isolation on, node integration off, and a locked-down preload bridge.
